LAND PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT


  • The LUXE (AKA West End Village Planned Unit Development) - The Luxe is a mixed-use, urban  development near Florida State University. The project features 126 residential units and approximately 16,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space. Poole Engineering and Surveying has successfully completed the site related approvals for the project, including approval of the UPUD, Type "B" Site Plan Approval, and the Environmental Permit.  The project was completed in August 2013.
  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments - College Town - Poole Engineering and Surveying coordinated with Seminole Boosters, FSU, and DEP's Division of State Lands to complete the Phase I ESAs for the land swap associated with the College Town mixed-use development

  • Drainage Inventory for Frenchtown Master Drainage Study,
  • Survey work for WRS in the remediation effort for Cascade Park,
  • Construction surveys including the layout of the Public Works Safety Complex in Tallahassee,
  • Several sewer projects for the City of Tallahassee,
  • Survey for CEI of the SR 281 (Avalon Blvd.) resurfacing project in Santa Rosa County,
  • CEI survey associated with Franklin Blvd. reconstruction in Tallahassee,
  • Baseline survey for ATMS Design / Build project in Pasco County

Projects

  • Westgate Mission - Westgate Mission serves our areas homeless population as a transitional facility. The project consists of 13 pad sites with 10 bedrooms each. Poole Engineering and Surveying completed Planning, Design, Permitting, Surveying and Construction Management services. The project received its Certificate of Occupancy in June 2013, just two month after its groundbreaking, thanks to a combined effort by the project team and the City of Tallahassee.
  • Onyx - The Onyx is a mixed-use, urban development located between downtown Tallahassee and Florida State University. The Onyx is a 583 bed, 12,000 retail square foot facility, located in a prime location at the corner of Macomb and College Avenue. Poole Engineering and Surveying is providing Civil Engineering and Surveying services for the project, which broke ground in May 2014 for completion in August 2015.
  • Comprehensive Emergency Services Center - The Comprehensive Emergency Services Center is a 24 hour emergency facility serving our area's homeless population. Poole Engineering and Surveying completed the Planning, Design, Surveying, and Permitting for the project within 5 months from the project's commencement. The project is under construction with a targeted completion date in late 2014. Poole Engineering and Surveying is also providing Construction Management Assistance and Surveying-Construction Layout services during the construction phase.
  • Bevis Funeral Home - Tallahassee - Poole Engineering and Surveying has successfully completed the site related approvals for the project, including approval of the PUD, Type "B" Site Plan Approval, and the Environmental Permit for a 10,950 SF 2-story funeral home, access and parking. The project was completed in November 2017.

  • Traffic study and signal design for the East US 90 widening project in Leon County,
  • Signal design for the realignment of SR 61 at US 98 in Wakulla County,
  • Maintenance of Traffic, ADA compliance review, No Passing Zone Study and QA/QC for SR 20 Resurfacing in Calhoun County,
  • 11th Street signal designs in Bay County Design/Build project
